Common Shipping Questions

Being that SGS Custom Firearms holds multiple FFL's we are listed as a Manufacturer of firearms and Gunsmithing Facility which makes shipping between us and you, the customer, easier.

When sending in your Firearm for service or customizing you will send it direct to our location, we recommend FedEx 2 Day Express with Signature Required - Please check all shipping laws and carrier regulations for more information.

When our work is completed we are allowed to ship the Firearm you already own directly back to you as long as it is the same name and address from which the Firearm was received - no need for the Firearm to be shipped to a FFL holder for transfer, this saves you, the customer, time and transfer fees.

This only applies to a Firearm you already own, if you are buying a new Firearm from SGS Customs the gun must to be shipped to a FFL holder in your area for proper registration and transfer.

If you are a Texas resident and wish to come to our location for pick up, we can handle the registration, transfer and forms for you at no charge.

Once you have contacted us and received your quote or purchased a specific service from our website, print a copy of our FFL found at the bottom of this website along with your quote or invoice from SGS Custom Firearms, include this inside the package when shipping.

We prefer that the gun is shipped complete so that after the work is finished the gun can be assembled and tested for proper function, so even if you are just having grip work done, we like to receive the complete gun - package your gun securely.

Again, it is best to ship Firearms via FedEx Express or FedEx Ground /  Signature Required / Insured
